Phoebe Anderson, a three-time Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships first-team honoree and two-time NCAA Division 1 Championships for Columbia representing England, joins DyeStat editor Erik Boal to discuss competing Nov. 10 at the Division 1 Northeast Regional at Van Cortlandt Park in New York. Anderson, who placed second Oct. 28 at the Ivy League Heps final at Franklin Park in Massachusetts, has secured sixth-place performances the past two years at the Northeast Regional. She reflects on Columbia finishing fourth at the Ivy League Heps championship meet and her optimism for the Lions being able to secure an automatic berth at the regional meet. Anderson revisits Columbia taking third at last year's regional by an eight-point margin behind runner-up Syracuse and the Lions missing out on advancing as a team to the NCAA Division 1 final at Oklahoma State. She expresses gratitude for the depth of the Northeast field and the opportunity to compete against elite athletes like Ivy League Heps champion Maia Ramsden of Harvard and Kimberley May from Providence.
